Drawing on the right side of the brain- RB- is based on the premise that the left and right hemispheres of the brain process information in very different ways.
In essence, the left brain-LB- is logical, rational using words to describe concepts and able to manipulate abstract ideas, numbers and the concept of time.
At school, I noticed that the 3rd grade's children, 8 or 9 years old, don't know anymore how to draw and lock themselves: they learnt how to use their left side brain by learning reading and arithmetic at the expense of the right side of the brain. They begin to draw with symbols like cartoons, for example an eye looks like a fish,a chair like a cube....why? because the left side of the brain has no patience to really sees, he has the remembrance of an eye or a nose and translate it to the hand with symbols.
Our work will be to disturb the left side of the brain with some exercises appropoe and give the opportunity to the right brain to express himself.
